KK Kumanovo 2009 - a EUROHOLD Balkan League participant for the previous two season, will have a bigger budget and with that bigger ambitions for the upcoming season. The team still has not applied for participation in the regional competiton but intends to do so.   "Next season we′ll have a bigger budget which is due to the entrance of new sponsors in the team. We had talks with representatives of EUROHOLD BIBL and they gave us until 10th of August to apply and I can say that probably next season we′ll once again be a part of the competiton. So far we have signed Georgi Kocov and extended the contract to Vukasin Mandic. We are closing the negotiations with Aleksandar Sterjov and we are in advanced talks with Uros Lukovic and his father - Ljubisav to be head coach. We are also talking to some foreign players but cannot say anything for now" commented for ekipa.mk the Sports Director of Kumanovo Mladen Davidovic.   The Sports Director of EUROHOLD Balkan League - Mr. Shay Shtriks met with Davidovic and the president Viktor Bozinovski last week in Macedonia during the friendly tournament for national teams held in Skopije and he confirmed that the League have given them until 10th of August to send an application. Then the management will check it, will discuss everything and then it will be decided whether the request will be accepted or not. During both its seasons Kumanovo was one of the good teams in the league and the team′s games attracted great attendance.   The League also expects next week to know about other teams that can join it. The vicechampions Galil Gilboa will give their answer as well as the Romanians from SCM U Craiova. The management of BIBL and that of Romanian side are in continious talks and are discussing the team′s participation.    The League is also hoping after appointing Aleksandar Todorov as head coach, the team of Balkan will also consider strongly the invitation to continue to play in the competition where last season they finished third.   The head coach of rhe champions Levski - Konstantin Papazov has also spoken to the management of EUROHOLD Balkan League and his desire is that the team will continue in the competition and defend its title. He asked the League to give The Blues more time before they decide whether to apply for participation or not. However the financial situation in the club is not clear yet and there are still a lot of unknowns.   So far for the next season eight teams have confirmed their participation in EUROHOLD BIBL - Vllaznia (Albania), Sigal Prishtina and Peja (Kosovo), Kozuv (Macedonia), Rilski Sportist (Bulgaria), Teodo, Sutjeska and Mornar (Montenegro).
