Rilski Sportist lost its first friendly game since the start of the preparation. The team hosted Romanian side Pitesti and was beaten 90-91. Rilski allowed a comeback by the visitors after having a double digit advantage at the break.   In the first quarter Rilski made 7 of 8 triples and managed to take a 10-point lead. Then in the second the team continued to play well and had a 13-point advantage after 20 minutes. However in little bit more than three minutes of the third quarter Pitesti closed the gap and the game was once again even. Both teams exchanged baskets right until the end when the visitors took the lead with 52 seconds to play. Then Gugino made a mistake, then both teams missed and Faber scored one free throw with 3 seconds to go. In the final second Gugino was fouled but he only made one free throw and the game was over.   Ian Chiles was the top player for Rilski with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Jordan Bozov added 12 points while 10 and 7 rebounds had Tony Gugino.
