Rilski Sportist lost to Lukoil Academic

Rilski Sportist lost to Lukoil Academic 86-90 at the start of the friednly tournament in Stara Zagora. The defeat came only three days after the team from Samokov beat that opponent at home in other friendly competition.

The game was even before in the third quarter Lukoil took a 13-point lead. However Rilski cut its deficit but once again the opponent increased it. A 12-0 run for the Samokov team closed the gap to a single point and with 30 seconds to play the score was tied. Then Lukoil scored 4 straight points which was enough for the victory.

Vernon Taylor had 20 points and 9 rebounds for Rilski. Yordan Bozov added 15 points while Ian Chiles had 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.
