Rosen Barchovski, head coach of BC Rilski Sportist: They just outplayed us

BC Rilski Sportist lost the final in EUROHOLD Balkan League to KB Sigal Prishtina. The team from Samokov was outplayed at home and couldn′t lift the trophy. Here is what the head coach of the team - Rosen Barchovski had to say after the second match:

"It′s not one or two things that weren′t enough. They are a strong team and took measures after the first game. In Prishtina we managed to outplay them with some tactical actions but now they limited a lot of our strong sides and in order to defeat such a team we just had to have a great day and we didn′t. I can′t say one or two things. They deserved the win, they were the better team. We fought, I can′t say the opposite.

We started very well but after that couldn′t hold up. The things are common. They limited some of our strong sides, the fast break. Hulls created us big problems but he plays that way and is such a player. When the game was decided he scored important baskets. They made us play slow in offense, they rotated the defense, confused us, it′s a lot of things. Generally we have strong offense and they put us down to 65 points. They just outplayed us.

We are happy from the season in EUROHOLD Balkan League from a long time but we also dreamed for something bigger. The level of the league can be seen easily - by specialists, by fans and also by people that don′t understand basketball that much. The level of the basketball, the gyms, the interest in the league are very good. You can all see the atmosphere we had here, that we had in Peja or in Prishtina - this doesn′t happen to us in Bulgaria. We have to be proud with our team. This full gym is a big pleasure for me. This is not seen often and it′s nice. The celebration was very big, we wanted to make it bigger but I′m sorry."
