Domestic leagues: Beroe and Levski 2014 lost at the start of the playoffs

BC Beroe lost the first game of the quarterfinal series in Bulgarian league. The team hosted Spartak Pleven in Stara Zagora but was defeated 81-86. The visitors took a 5-point lead at the break after finishing the first half on 9-0 run. Then they started the second on 8-0 to go up by 13 and led until the fourth quarter. Beroe managed to take the lead by 5 but Spartak answered and surprised the home team.

 

Evrik Gary had 19 points for Beroe while Auston Barnes finished with 16 and 9 rebounds.

 

Levski 2014 also lost its first game of the playoffs. The Blues visited Balkan but were beaten 74-86 after being down whole game. The hosts led by 19 but the visitors managed to come back and close the gap to 6. Then though Balkan responded with 10-1 run and decided the outcome.


Krum Doychinov had 21 points for Levski as Aleks Simeonov added 20 and 6 rebounds.
