High flying Kozuv gave no chance to Sutjeska

KK Kozuv recorded a big home win in the third round of group C. The Gevgelija team hosted KK Sutjeska and gave no chance to the visitors winning 94-65. That result also means that now BC Beroe is 100% certain of finishing first in the group and thus of a place in the semifinal. Kozuv and Sutjeska now have the same record with 2 wins and 3 defeats while Kozuv is having the tie-breaker advantage. In the last round the team from Niksic will host Beroe while the Gevgelija squad will visit Feni Industries.

Sutjeska led in the first three minutes before Kozuv took over with a 6-0 run. After that the hosts had a slight advantage that reached 7 points after five in a row. The difference stayed the same at the end of the first period and in the second the hosts defense got even better. They started it with a 9-2 run and the lead went to 13 points. After that moment Kozuv controlled the game and the advantage even reached 20 points. Sutjeska managed to cut some of the but it was still 18 at the break.

The visitors scored the first basket but then an 11-0 run increased the lead to 27. At this moment with less than six minutes to go in the third period the match was decided and the final minutes were just a formality.

The hosts hit 10 triples from 30 attempts while Sutjeska was just 3 of 15.

Kenyon McNeail was the top performer for the win with 24 points and 10 assists. Milivoje Mijovic was close to another double-double with 17 points and 9 rebounds as Larry Hall had 15 and 6.

Djoko Salic had 25 points for the visitors as Nikola Djokovic finished with 14 and 6 rebounds.
