Kumanovo wins a thriller against Ibar

KK Kumanovo 2009 recorded its first win of the season. The runner-up from last one hosted KK Ibar and took a 96-92 after a real thriller. The game was decided in the last 13 seconds when the home side did the damage. Next week Kumanovo will host BC Akademik Bultex 99 while Ibar will welcome Rilski Sportist.

The game was really close from start to finish as both teams really gave it all. Ibar took a 5-point lead with six minutes to go but Kumanovo answered with a 7-1 run for the advantage. After that the teams exchanged points as the hosts went up by 4 before the visitors tied the score again. Karadjovski scored the go ahead basket with 13 seconds to play and after a Kovacevic mistake Ramme decided the final outcome.

Dimitar Karadjovski and Marjan Janeski were the top scorers for the win with 22 points apiece. Mirko Kovac also did well after scoring 18.

The visitors were led by Aleksandar Andrejevic, Eldin Kalic and Filip Simic who had 19 each.
