Levski denied Akademik Bultex 99 in Plovdiv

Levski 2014 celebrated with the 69-67 win in Plovdiv against Akademik Bultex 99 in a tense game with fectic finish.

The team from Sofia led throughout the whole game to almost lose it all at the end.

At the break the visitors had 16 points advantage after horrendous second quarter for Akademik.

Step by step Plovdiv rose back and kept closing the gap during the whole second half. A 13-2 run had Akademik finally reach Levski in the beginning of the fourth quarter and even took the lead for the first time.

A series of ties almost sent the game into overtime but Veselin Veselinov was the hero for Levski with the winning basket with 8 seconds to go.

Nikola Maravic led the winners with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Stanimir Marinov added 15 points and 5 assists. Shakir Smith had 20 for Akademik.
