Lovcen achieved their fourth win in the Balkan League this season, after they
defeated  Gaz Metan Medias 86-78. Romanian team arrived in Cetinje like a favorite, as Bruno Soce side started with 5 consecutives victories in this campaign. However the last one was awarded to Rilski Sportist a cause that Gaz Metan broke the League regulations.

The game started equivalent with high-speed attacks from both teams and the first quarter ended with a score of 22:21 for the Lovcen. In the beginning of the second period the host made a incredible 15-2 record, while Gaz Metan made a lot of turnover and their key players took a very bad decisions. Before the break thanks to Derrick Phelps and Titus Nicoara, team from Medias managed to reduced the difference to 8 point – 35-43. The young team from Cetinje continued their wonderful play in the third period and at times their lead reached more than 15 points. Three consecutives three-pointers – two by Phelps and one by Howell in the last 2 minutes reduced Romanian side trail by 9 points after 30 minutes on the field – 54-63. In the beginning of the last period Gaz Metan were the more active team
and 6:30 minutes before the end Lovcen led only by 4 – 68-64, but Bruno Soce’s
players haven’t enough power to change the game. To the end Montenegrin team
made a lot of substitutions and head coach Cadija rotated all the squad. Nikola Ivanovic was the most efficient player in the game with 21 points and 100% shooting percentage. Bojan Dubljevic added 17 points and 5 rebounds for Lovcen. Titus Nicoara finished wih 18 points, while Jarrett Howell ended with 16 in the losing case.

After today’s game KK Lovcen climbed on the top
in group A with a 4-2 record
as long as the game between Rilski Sportist and
Rabotnicki was postponed. CS Gaz Metan was on the second place, also with 4-2
record but with one point in
deficiency.
