Decisions from the EUROHOLD BIBL Board Meeting

Earlier today in the Radison Blu Hotel in Sofia, took place the 2nd
EUROHOLD Balkan League Board Meeting this season. Besides the board, on
the meeting were present guests such as Mr. George Vassilakopoulos
(FIBA Europe), Mr. Kosta Iliev (FIBA Europe) and Mr. Shay Shani
(Israeli Federation). The BIBL board took the following decisions.

Regarding
CS Gaz Metan Medias playing with 4 non-European players, the BIBL Board
took the following decisions, as CS Gaz Metan Medias will remain part
of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, only if they fulfil these requirements:

Play with only 3 non-European players, according to the EUROHOLD Balkan League regulations.

Their two losses by 20:0 against Rilski Sportist and Lovcen still count.

They will have to extend their bank guarantee with 5.000 EURO. If
any problem occurs, such as they play again with 4 non-European
players, they will be out of the competition, and they won`t receive
their deposit back.

The Romanian Federation will have to send a letter-guarantee to
the EUROHOLD Balkan League, that Gaz Metan will keep the rules and
regulations of the BIBL.

Here are the other decisions from today:

The system of the 1/4 finals remains the same - home and away
games, as during the next season (2010/2011) there might be a change to
a "best of three" series".

The Final Four will take place on April 13th and April 15th, as
there will only be played semifinals and final, without a game for
3/4th place. During the final four, there will take place an U18 Junior
Tournament.

Next year there will possibly be new participating countries in
the BIBL such as Albania, Greece and Israel, with the approval of FIBA.

The League will discuss a possible Women Masters Tournament,
which will have for examle three tournaments, three times during the
season, with participating teams from the Balkans.

Sport 5 is the official marketing company of the EUROHOLD Balkan League.
