The game in Bar didn’t start in the way Levski would wanted
to. The home side were the more active team after tip off, and despite Levski
having a slight lead in the first minutes, Mornar turned things around and made
an 8-0 run which gave them a 17-10 lead with 2 minutes remaining in the first
quarter. Levski managed to melt their losing, but after 10 minutes, Mornar were
up by 10 points – 26:16.

 

Things were about to change in the second period of the
game, as Levski made a 18:6 run, to tie the game at 32:32 with 5.36 left until
halftime. Milos Djurisic scored a basket, to give Mornar a lead for 34:32.
After that, Gjorgji Cekovski tied the game at 36:36, and Aaron Harper gave
Levski the lead with a 3-pointer for 36:39 with 2.50 until the end of the
quarter. After 20 minutes of play, Levski were leading by 7 points – 39:46.

 

Levski started the third period good, and they were up by 10
points, after Bobby Frasor made a lay-up 2.30 into the second half. The home
team cut their deficit down to 6 after 4 points by Dorde Gagic. 4.41 before the
end of the quarter, The Blues were up by 10 again after 2 sucesfull free-throws
by Zlatin Georgiev. After 30 minutes they were 15 points ahead – 58:73.

 

In the last quarter, Levski showed why the difference in the
first game was so big, despite the two American players still playing in
Mornar, and settled the final score at 80:105.

 

Donald Cole had a great game for Levski finishing with 26
points and 7 rebounds. Aaron Harper also played good, as his stats were 29
points and 3 boards. Gjorgji Cekovski had a double double with 11 points and 10
rebounds , and Stefan Georgiev finished the game with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Asen Velikov also had 10 points.

 

For Mornar Bar Dorde Gagic had 21 points. Vladimir
Mihailovic and Milos Djurisic were the other players to finish in double
digits, with 17 and .19, along with Vasilije Seferovic who had 10.

 

That was Levski’s seventh win in the EUROHOLD Balkan League
Group B. They are now first with a balance of 7-2 and 16 points. Mornar Bar
have 3 wins and 6 losses, and they have 12 points.

 

In their next game Mornar Bar are hosting Spartak Pleven in
a direct game for the fourth spot in Group B , while Levski are hosting CSA Steaua
Turabo in Sofia.
