KB Sigal Prishtina with a big step towards the final

KB Sigal Prishtina is very close to the final of EUROHOLD Balkan League. In a first semifinal game at home the team defeated KK Kozuv 85-61 and took a very big lead before the return leg in Gevgelija. Sigal used big runs in the first and third quarter to make the big advantage and managed to keep it in the last ten minutes. The second game is next Wednesday in Gevgelija and Kozuv will have to try and erase a -point deficit.

The game started great for Kozuv as they scored the first 5 points in less than a minute. However after that they went scoreless in more than minutes as Sigal played better and made 15-0 run. Then with less than a minute to go Edin Bavcic scored a triple to make it a 13-point game and after one quarter the hosts led by 12.

The advantage of Sigal went also to 16 points before Kozuv managed it to cut to 9 shortly after the middle of the quarter. The hosts however answered with quick 7 points to take the lead back to 16 as then the visotors cut some of it and had a chance for more but didn′t take it. Then right before the break Jordan Hulls was left alone so he scored a three-pointer to once again make it a 16-point game.

Shortly after te second half the difference went up to 20 and later after the middle of the third quarter Sigal had another big minutes. They made 16-2 run which made the margin 32 points and decided the outcome in this first match. Kozuv again cut down something but at the buzzer of the quarter Coles scored a triple for 31 difference. In the last quarter the visitors managed to close the gap to 22 points with less than two minutes to play and they missed a chance to cut it even more. Hulls answered with a triple and Bavcic scored to make it 27. Then Nesovic added a three-pointer for the visitors but in their last offense they missed.   The home side scored 12 second chance points compared to only 2 for Kozuv. Also they had 44 points in the paint to 20 for the visitors.

Edin Bavcic was the top performer for the winners with 25 points and 12 rebounds while Dardan Berisha had 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

For the visitors Filip Sepa and Aleksej Nesovic had 11 points apiece.
