Domestic leagues: 5 in a row for Beroe, Levski 2014 lost to Balkan

BC Beroe recorded its 5th straight win in Bulgarian NBL. The team from Stara Zagora hosted Academic Plovdiv and had a hard time winning 90-82. The visitors played a good game and were in it right until the end. In the middle of the fourth quarter the score was tied but three triples for the hosts decided the outcome.

 

 

Aleksandar Todorovic was the top scorer for the winners with 21 points while Tencho Tenchev added 15 on five triples.

 

 

Levski 2014 lost to Balkan 65-91 away despite starting good. The Blues took an early 8-2 lead and stayed close until the end of the first period. At the start of the second though Balkan made 16-2 run and pulled away, as the hosts had no problems until the end.

 

 

Stanislav Slaveykov had 12 points and 5 rebounds for The Blues while Evgeni Hadzhirusev and Ventsislav Petkov scored 9 points apiece.

 

 

After 17 rounds of play Beroe is third with 12 wins and 5 defeats while Levski 2014 is on 7th place with 5-12 record.
