Sutjeska eliminated after losing at home to Beroe

KK Sutjeska finished in fourth place in group C and will not continue in the quarterfinals of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League. The Niksic team hosted BC Beroe in a must win game but the visitors played fair and took 76-68 victory. The home would′ve finished third with a win but the defeat means that the Montenegrins are out. Beroe on the other side had secured the first place in the group even before the game but the team gave its best and won.

Beroe scored the first seven points of the game but Sutjeska came back quickly. The hosts then made a 12-0 run to go up by 10 but the visitors answered with 10-0 to tie the game and after ten minutes the Niksic team led by 2. Another 10-0 run by the hosts put them up by 12 but after a 8-2 to finish the second half the visitors closed the gap to 6.

Again the difference reached 10 points but again Beroe answered and after 30 minutes the teams were tied at 55. In the middle of the fourth period the hosts managed to pull away by 4 but shortly after the visitors made a 12-0 run to finish the game and win it.

Stjepan Tesija was the top scorer for Beroe with 14 points. Tihomir Zhelev added 13 while Aaron Jones had 10 and 7 rebounds.

Jayon James finished with 20 points for the hosts while Djoko Salic scored 15.
