BC Beroe also applied for BIBL season 2017-2018

Earlier today the BIBL received official letter by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation that also BC Beroe had requested participation in the anniversary season of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League.

BC Beroe is the BIBL 2016-2017 Champion, the runner-up of the Bulgarian National League, the Bulgarian Cup Holder.

After the very successful past season, the club′s management expressed even bigger ambitions for the season to come. Thus, the team from Stara Zagora applied also to FIBA Eurocup and they will participate in the qualification round for entering the groups.

As previously announced the competition system has been changed and 6 of the 8 spots have been already taken. 

The League presented the possibilities of filling-in these 2 last places where now when BC Beroe applied, the options widen. After considering the options, final decision will be taken during the following week the latest.

Beroe started their preparation two days ago. Lubomir Minchev remains Head Coach and he is working on finishing his roster soon. Amongst the new-comers are Aleksander Yanev and 3 American players Adam Camp, Alex Davis and Terry Wisnant.
