The battle at the top is in Samokov

A very entertaining and interesting clash is waiting us tonight. In Samokov the local Rilski Sportist will host KK Blokotehna-NB in the battle for the first place in the competition. The match will start at 18.00 hrs local time and will be LIVE on BNT World and SportMedia.tv.

Rilski is coming to this game unbeaten and looking to continue that stretch. The Samokov team is in a very good condition which is being proved in recent weeks. Rilski relies on a deep rotation of ten players, the performance both in offense and defense is really good and that is showing on the court. The hosts will count on the good shape of Taylor, Wright, Georgiev and Bozov but also the rest of the squad is doing good and the results show that.

Blokotehna is also in good shape and will probably have a slight fatigue advantage having played less games recently. The Gevgelija team relies on Benjamin, Mallory and Mijatovic to lead the way but in order to get something out of the game the others will also have to step up, especially on defense. Blokotehna will continue to be at least in second place even after the game but coach Ilievski will be hoping to somehow be able to steal the victory in Samokov.

The other game tonight sees KK Ibar taking on SK Tirana. It will start at 17.00 hrs local time and will be LIVE on YouTube and SportMedia.tv.

The home side will be looking to get its first win of the competition. To do that Ibar will hope for an improved performance by Perovic, Vucicevic, Simic and Simmons. However the hosts will have to find a way to stop Tirana under the basket where for sure the visitors will be looking to do the damage.

Tirana as usual will be going to down low to Hysenagolli and Shima. Of course the Albanian champions have good outside players like Strowbridge and Abdul-Bassit who can also hurt the opposition.

This match is important for both sides as Ibar will have to give its best for that first win while Tirana needs it in order not to lose ground to the other teams.
