Akademik Bultex 99 sent KK Ibar home with empty hands

Akademik Bultex 99 celebrated a deserved victory over Ibar Rozaje with 91-70.

KK Ibar combined the trips to Plovdiv and Samokov and had two tough road games in Bulgaria going back home empty-handed.

Akademik erased the poor performance in the last four Balkan League games with sound win tonight in front of home crowd.

One quarter was enough for the hosts to gain double-digit lead and they never looked back in the first half.

Strong third quarter for Ibar cut the lead to just 2 points after 10-0 run for the Montenegrins.

Quick reaction from Akademik restored the balance with Plovdiv team increasing the gap with every minute until the end.

Nikola Maravic had double-double for Akademik with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Martin Durchev had 20 points and 9 assist, 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists added Dimitar Dimitrov.

Jerrel Simmons scored 26 for Ibar and Marko Perovic had 16.
