BC Levski Lukoil and BC Rilski Sportist qualified for the Bulgarian cup final. Both teams survived late drama in their semifinal clashes but eventually won their ties to go through to the battle for the trophy on March 3rd.

 

Levski lost the second game to Balkan 80-87 but thanks to 11-point win in the first one went through. The Blues were lucky at the end as they were behind for most of the time. Balkan even managed to take a 12-point edge before the visitors responded. However with the difference being 9 points, the hosts missed a chance to tie the overall score and the game was over.


Stanimir Marinov was the top scorer for Levski with 24 points as Justin Knox had 23.


Rilski Sportist defeated Akademik Bultex 99 83-70 away and went through despite losing the first game at home by 12 points. The Samokov team started strong and led for the whole game. In the final minute the difference was 9 but Rilski scored the last 4 points and celebrated at the end.


Evan Ravenel had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners as Derek Wright added 15 points. Nikola Maravic was the top scorer for Akademik with 15 points as Martin Durchev had 14.
