Domestic leagues: Win for Rilski, a defeat for Akademik

BC Rilski Sportist recorded a win in Bulgarian league over the weekend. The Samokov side visited Spartak Pleven and had a hard time before taking 94-86 victory.

After a close first half at the end of the third period Rilski made a 12-3 run to go up by 10. With 2 minutes to go the hosts cut the deficit ot just 3 points but the visitors didn′t let them do more.

Sheldon Jeter had 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners as Evan Ravenel had 18 points.

BC Akademik Bultex 99 visited the leaders Balkan and lost 76-86. It was really a close game as both sides fought hard to win it. The hosts however were leading for most of the time and at the end managed to hold on.

Dimitar Dimitrov had 22 points for Akademik as Martin Durchev added 13.

Tonight BC Levski Lukoil will host BC Beroe in another interesting game.
