Domestic leagues: Rilski wins at the end, no trouble for Akademik

BC Rilski Sportist recorded another dramatic win in Bulgarian league. The Samokov team visited Yambol and had a really hard time before taking 107-104 victory. It all came down to the wire as the hosts moved up by 3 points but Rilski answered with 5-0 for 105-103. Yambol cut the deficit to 1 but the visitors held on for the win.

Zlatin Georgiev was the top scorer for Rilski with 24 points as Yordan Bozov added 21.

BC Akademik Bultex 99 had another home win after downing Cherno more 71-62 at home. The Plovdiv side started well to go up by 10 points in the first quarter. They held on to the good lead at the break but in the third the visitors closed the gap to 6. A 12-2 run at the end of the gave Akademik an 18-point edge which was enough for them to secure the win.

Nikola Maravic scored 17 points for the hosts as Vasil Bachev added 14.

Rilski and Akademik are tied with 16-6 record while Levski Lukoil has 16-5 but also a game less.
