First home win for Academic Bultex 99

BC Academic Bultex 99 recorded its first home win of the season in Balkan League. The Plovdiv side hosted KK Kozuv and dominated from the first quarter in order to get a? 88-57 victory. It gives Academic a 3-3 record while Kozuv now stands at 1-4. The hosts took a good lead in the first quarter and then extended it after the break for a comfortable game. Next week Academic will play at home against KS Teuta while Kozuv′s next game is on January 8th against Blokotehna.

Both sides exchanged baskets early as after four minuts the score was tied. This is when Academic stepped it up and made a 12-0 run to pull away. After that the difference continued to be around that margin and late in the first half it was increased once again. When Academic opened up the third quarter on a 10-run the difference reached 28 points as the hosts never had any problems until the end.

The big difference in the game was the three-point shooting. The hosts made 12 of 27 attempts while the visitors were just 2 of 23.

Vasil Bachev was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points while adding also 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Daishon Knight had 15 points as Adriyan Sekulov came strong off the bench with 14 points.

Kozuv was led by Robert Lewis and Ivan Miskovic (9 rebounds) who had 12 points each.
