Domestic leagues: 7 in a row for Beroe, important win for Academic

BC Beroe recorded its 7th straight win in Bulgarian league after downing Academic Sofia 93-75 away. The Stara Zagora team started well from the beginning and controlled the game until the end. Conner Frankamp was the top scorer with 24 points as Tre Cogins added 18 and 9 steals for the win.

In the meantime Academic Bultex 99 recorded a very important win after beating Rilski Sportist 98-87 away in overtime. It was the team′s first victory over a top 4 squad in the standings. The visitors started great and led by 15 after ten minutes. They were up until the final quarter when e strong run by the hosts and a basket in the final second took the game ot overtime. In the extra five minutes Academic performed much better and with a great offense took the win.

Peter Olisemeka had 22 points and 18 rebounds for Academic as Daishon Knight added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

After this round Beroe is currently second with 9 wins and 2 defeats while Academic is 6th with 5-6 record.
