101 points and three in a row for Teuta

KS Teuta recorded its third straight win in the Balkan League. The Albanians visited KB Bashkimi and took 101-83 victory to underline their strong position in the quest for the Final Four. The Durres team took the lead in the second quarter and never surrendered it after despite the fact that the hosts tried really hard. With the win Teuta now has 6-3 record and is in a great position to qualify for the Final 4. In the same time Bashkimi now has 1-6 record and really slim chances to repeat what happened last year. Next week the Kosovo team will travel to Bulgaria to play Beroe and Academic Bultex 99 while Teuta will host Kozuv.

It was a high scoring affair in the first half with the visitors taking a good advantage in the second quarter with a great run. In the first no team could pull away but Bashkimi did it when the team managed to build a 7-point lead in the second period. What followed however was a great 17-0 run by the visitors which gave them a 10-point edge which until the break was reduced by just 2.

In the third quarter the teams continued to exchange points as Teuta was controlling the difference. The hosts, who again were led by Jordan Capps, tried hard to close the gap but the most they achieved was to cut it to 6 points after 30 minutes of play. The game was decided early in the fourth quarter when the visitors made the difference double digit. An 8-2 start took their lead to 12 points and soon it became 16 after which there was no chance for a comeback by the hosts.

Teuta was led by CJ Wilson who continued his good play and finished with 23 points and 11 assists. Endrit Hysenagolli was also a force with his double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds as Genti Lasku and Eric Copes scored 17 points each.

Jordan Capps had another monster game in offense for Bashkimi and finished with 40 points. Steven Haney added 13 for the hosts as Lamar Wofford-Humphrey had 12 in his debut.
