Domestic leagues: Nine in a row for Beroe, Academic lost to the champions

BC Beroe recorded its 9th straight win in Bulgarian league. The Stara Zagora team visited Spartak Pleven and took a hard fought 89-85 victory. 

There were a lot of turnarounds in the game as the visiors took a 14-point lead in the first quarter but were down by 6 points at the break. Beroe however made a 20-2 run in the third quarter to go up and led until the end despite not being able to pull away from the home side.

Tre Coggins was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points as James White added 18 and 9 rebounds.

Academic Bultex 99 visited the champions Levski Lukoil and lost 75-87. The Plovdiv team was close to the hosts for most of the time but in the first minutes of the last quarter Levski pulled away and controlled the game until the end.

Daishon Knight had 26 points for Academic as Vasil Bachev added 16.

Beroe is currently second in the standings with 11 wins and 2 defeats as Academic Bultex 99 is tied for 5th with 6-7 record.
