Asen Nikolov: We couldn′t cope with their zone defense

BC Academic Bultex 99 lost the first semifinal in Balkan League Final Four against KK Blokotehna. In a hard fought game the Plovdiv side had its chances but near the end of the game missed its shots. Here is what head coach Asen Nikolov had to say after the match:

"First of all congratulations to Blokotehna. They played with big desire. I think we couldn′t cope with their zone defense. We took a lot of wrong decisions in offense and in the same time weren′t aggressive enough in defense. This is where they took advantage and managed to defeat us.

We were surprised that they played zone defense all game. We couldn′t deal with that and this is where our wrong decisions on offense came from. We′ll take things serious in the game for 3/4 place but I′m not a big optimist."
