Domestic leagues: Blokotehna wins a thriller against the champions, Kozuv defeated in Kumanovo

KK Blokotehna-NB recorded a great win in a thriller against the champions and cup holders Rabotnicki at home. The Gevgelija team took 90-89 dramatic victory after a hard-fought game. The teams exchanged one quarter in the first half as the difference at the end of it was a points in favour of the visitors. They increased it to 2 after 30 minutes as then the teams continued to be really close. The decisive moment came with 2 seconds to go when Danilo Mijatovic scored the go-ahead basket which proved to be the game winner.

Kenet Funderburg was the top scorer for the winners with 31 points. Brandon Penn did well and added 23 points as Danilo Mijatovic had 11 and 5 rebounds in his return from injury.

Elsewhere KK Kozuv was defeated away by Kumanovo 74-87. The visitors started well and took a 10-point lead after one quarter. The couldn′t hold on to it though as the hosts went up by 4 at the break and then by 14 after the third quarter which was enough for them.

Jetmir Zekiri and Vladimir Ivelja were the top scorers for Kozuv with 11 points apiece.

With a round to go in the SuperLeague of North Macedonia Blokotehna secured its third position having 21 wins and 8 defeats. Kozuv on the other side will for sure finish fifth as the team currently is with 13-16 record.
