Academic Bultex 99 to debut this season, Rahoveci looking for first win

The action in the Balkan League is on again and we have an interesting contest coming up. At 18.30 hrs local time in Plovdiv Academic Bultex 99 will host KB Rahoveci at Complex Sila. The match will be broadcast on internet via SportMedia.tv and YouTube.

This will be Academic′s first game in the competition this season and the team will be looking to start well. There has been a change to the roster as Cedrick Bowen returns in Plovdiv to replace Alex Long. In the meantime the most dangerous player is still Vasil Bachev who started the season in top form. Academic can rely also on the experience of Aleksandar Gruev but the energy and motivation of players like Tomic, Knezevic, Smith, Tenchev, Perry and Sekulov will be key if the home side is to win.

Rahoveci is coming to this match having lost twice in BIBL but also after beating Prishtina in Kosovo league. This without doubt will give the team confidence and Marjan Ilievski will look to leave Plovdiv with a win. The coach has a lot of experience and knows well the league as he can transfer that to the players. Joshua McFolley is expected to debut but it′s too early to expect something big out of him. Bradford, Howard and Gunjina are doing well so far and local players like Veseli and Callakaj are always dangerous and can hurt any opponent. Rahoveci is finding his rhythm back and is certainly in a better position that in the first two rounds which is not a good news for the hosts from Plovdiv.
