Coach Kalia Papadopoulou: Prishtina players' experience decided the final

The first female coach in European club competitions - AEL's Kalia Papadopoulou was on the losing end of the Delasport Balkan League final on Sunday.

She shared her thoughts after the disappointment, thanking also the passionate fans of AEL: 

We apologize to our fans for failing to bring the trophy. The Pristina team may have been the favorite as they had already won us twice, but we performed poorly in the second half. There was a lack of determination, and we were unfocused outside the perimeter.

Our minds were not clear. We only scored three points in the third quarter in 7 minutes, despite being ahead in the first half and having the opportunity to extend our lead.

The match was ultimately decided by the experience of the Pristina players. They read the tactics better than us and exploited our defensive weaknesses, leading to easy baskets. Congratulations to Pristina for winning the trophy.
