First loss for Fersped Rabotnicki

Rabotnicki lost for the first time

There is no more undefeated teams in FYR of Macedonia after end of the 8th Round of domestic league. The team of Amak SP surprised Fersped Rabotnicki in front of their own fans in Gradski Park gym in Skopje. Final score was 75-70 in favor of Amak SP. Team from Ohrid absolutely deserved the victory and showed that they are back on track after elimination from FIBA Eurochallenge Cup. As a reminder they were wliminated from Holland side Eiffel Towers in that European competition. Amak SP led throughout the whole game and gave no hopes to their opponent to get anything from this game.

The hero for the winners was guard of national team of FYR of Macedonia Vojdan Stojanovski, who was on fire and gave lot of trouble to the defense of Fersped. The youngster outscored his older brother Ognen Stojanovski who is playing for Fersped Rabotnicki as he managed 30 points. Most of them came in desicive third and fourth quarters of the game.

“I think our win today over Rabotnicki is not a big surprise. It’s coming at the right time after our elimination from the tournament of FIBA Europe. We played with passion, used different style through the game and deserved to win. It was right time to get some success in long distance shots. With this win we showed that Amak SP remain one of tha main candidates for the title in our championship. Defeats from Eiffel Towers and Feni Industries are history for us,” said the coach of Amak SP Marjan Lazovski.

Beside Vojdan Stojanovski great game for AMAK SP had Serbian internationals Miroslav Cubrilo and Slobodan Agos with 16 and 13 points for the winners.

In Fersped Rabotnicki the best players were Ersad Ljuca and Macedonian national team player Dime Tasovski.

In the same time the other Eurohold BIBL participant from FYR of Macedonia Feni Industries had no problems to get big victory against Vardar by the score 93-64. The head coach of team from Kavadarci Emil Rajkovic used the big difference in the level of both teams and played with his full roster giving lot of chance to the youngsters during the game.

Fersped Rabotnicki visit Levski in Sofia tomorrow in the next round of group B of Eurohold BIBL while Feni Industries play at home versus Swisslion Takovo in game between two undefeated teams in group a of the competition.
