Three important games from Eurohold Balkan League Wednesday night
Rilski sportist play versus Mega in Belgrade
Men’s basketball team of Rilski sportist visit Belgrade for rematch of the opening game from Eurohold Balkan League versus Mega Hypo Leasing. Team from Samokov will try to sweep the series against young Serbian squad. Both teams open up the competition on October 7-th and bulgarinas were lucky to win thanks to amazing 3-pointer shot by Aleksandar Gruev in overtime session. Today’s winner will step at the first place in Group B of Eurohold BIBL and most likely secure place among the best four teams at the end of regular season. As reminder best four teams from each group qualify for the first round of playoffs.
Mega Hypo Leasing have only one loss since the beginning of the league. After they lost the opener in Samokov, players from this Serbian team win three times in row and now are main candidate za first place at the end of regular season. Tow of those important victories came from away games against Levski and Dinamo Bucharest.
Mega Hypo Leasing will try to get back on track after huge loss by 22 points from Vizura Belgrade. Currently they are on 8-th place with negative record of 4 wins and 5 losses. Rilski sportist is currently 5th with 3 wins and 3 losses.
Other two games from today’s schedule are from Group A. Two undefeated teams meet each other to decide which squad will top the group after this round. Game in Kavadarci between Feni Industries and Swisslion Takovo will bring lot of attention huge interest for this match of unbeatable so far teams.
Both, Feni Industries and Swisslion Takovo already picked up the speed in their local championship and are teams to beat in their domestic competitions. Lions are having great record so far. They won all of their 9 games in Serbian league. Two more victories in Eurohold Balkan League mean they are undefeated this season.
From other side the champions of FYR of Macedonia Feni Industries are playing very well and have no big problems to handle one level below them teams in their local competiton.
Second game from this Group A is between Euroins Cherno More and CSU Cuadripol from Brasov. Romanian side already have 2 losses from three games and will try to surprise Bulgarians in Varna. Two weeks ago team from Brasov won for the first time in Eurohold Balkan League beatng Radnicki 034 Group while Cherno More stayed even with Swisslion Takovo until the half time break. Later on though the players of young coach Daniel Dimitrov allowed the home team to step up and win convincingly by 12 points at the end.
Despite the loss two weeks ago, everybody in the club is optimistic regarding qualification for the playoffs. Two days after tonight’s game versus CSU Brasov, Euroins Cherno More will travel to Pravets to meet the chaqmpion of Bulgaria in the last 6 years – Lukoil Academic.
