After year and half without loss at home in local Serbian league, Swisslion Takovo ended that run against Borac Cacak and felt 55-61. Both teams were concentrated on their defenses and that fact resulted in low scoring game in Vrsac. Despite great effort in defense, Lions needed more than 55 points to win this contest.

Swisslions had 2 points advantage at the end of first half 28-26 but visitors came back on top in minute 27th. At the end of third quarter they had 38-42 – four points lead and in the beginning of last ten minutes with 3-pointer by Marko Kesic Borac had 7 points advantage. However thanks to the very good Sasa Ocokolijc and Radovan Markovic in the middle of the last quarter Lions were back to only 1 point difference. At the end it was Miljan Radisavljevic from the visiting team who scored very important 3-pointer and lately with few succesive free throws closed the game in favor of Borac Cacak.

“This loss is something new for our team. I expect my players to react on proper way and we will prove it versus Radnicki next Wednesday in Eurohold Balkan League game. To score only 55 points at home is way too low. Despite good defense that wasn’t enough to get victory. Simple as that, we didn’t deserve to win this game’” said the head coach of Swisslion Takovo Dejan Mijatovic.

That was a second loss for Lions in Serbian league but they are still ranked very high – currently second with record 10-2. Borac is in front of them with only one loss from 12 games.

Ocokolijc scored 16 points and it was only player in double figures for Swisslion in this game. Rastko Dramicanin led the visitors with 18 points.
