Great run in the fourth quarter leads Hapoel Holon to the win in Kumanovo

Hapoel Holon started the Second Stage of Delasport Balkan League with a win. In the Israeli team's first game of Stage 2, the team visited KK Kumanovo 2009 and won 83-74 after leading for the whole time. The hosts managed to play really well and be close to its opponent from start to finish. At the end however Hapoel managed to show its quality and held on for the victory. Next week Kumanovo will visit Akademik in Plovdiv in a match where the team will need to win in order to keep its chances for the Final Four. Hapoel's next game will also be against Akademik Plovdiv as it will be played in Israel on March 25th.

Generally iHapoel Holon led from the first minutes but never managed to pull away. After the first quarter finished with the score tied, in the second the visitors managed to take the lead but it was just 4 points at the break. The hosts kept trying in the third quarter and few times they managed to be close to their opponents. After 30 minutes Hapoel was still up by 4 points but in the last the hosts took the lead at 68-66 with six minutes to go. What followed however was a 12-1 run for the visitors which put them up by 9 points and practically decided the winner.

Hapoel had a huge advantage in the three-point shooting. They scored 14 triples from 36 attempts while the home team was just 7 of 20.

The visitors were led by Maxine De Zeeuw who finished with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Isaiah Miles had 14 points as Niv Misgav added 13.

For the hosts two players scored in double figures as Otis Livingston and Gorjan Markovski had 15 points apiece.
