Teodo won big away and set up a direct battle for the Second Stage

KK Teodo stayed alive in the quest for advancing to the Second Stage in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Tivat won away against KK Kumanovo 2009 by a score of 93-76 and now they are in a position to advance in the competition. The visitors performed great in the second half when they outplayed their opponents and took an important victory. After this game Teodo has 3 wins and 4 losses which is the same as Sutjeska. The two teams will meet next week and will decide which will go to the Second Stage. Kumanovo on the other hand will visit Rilski Sportist and the winner of this match will finish first as both teams have 4-3 record.
 
Kumanovo started very good in offense and led early. The hosts even took a 7-point advantage but the visitors managed to tie the score and be close. In the second quarter Kumanovo once again pulled away as the hosts led first by 8 and then by 9 points. Teodo came back in the game with 12-2 run that put the team ahead by a point and that was the difference at the break as well.
 
A 7-0 run gave Teodo 8-points advantage with two and a half minutes played in the second half. However Kumanovo responded quickly and scored the next 9 points to regain the lead. A few moments later though the visitors once again made a strong run - this time 12-2 and suddenly went up by 10 points. At the end of the quarter they led by 9 and were in a good position before the last one. The home team soon cut it to 5 but then Manuel Johnson scored a very important triple. Right before the middle of the last quarter the lead of Teodo reached 11 points and later they scored another 8 to make 13-0 run and go up by 19 which decided the outcome.
 
Kumanovo had 21 turnovers while Teodo only 5 which proved to make a big difference in the match.
 
Aleksandar Radulovic had a great game for the visitors with 31 points and 6 rebounds while Aaron Mitchell added 17 points.
 
For the home team Uros Lukovic finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Sasa Avramovic scored 21 points.
