BC Timisoara achived their fourth win in Group A of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League. In their away game from Round 8 of the regular season they defeated KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski in Skopje by 10 points - 63:73. After this win they still have chances of advancing to the quarterfinals of the Balkan League.
 
The home side started the game better and had the lead early in the first quarter - 5:2 with 8.48 to go. Torus remained ahead of Timisoara in the next minutes, as the Macedonian team were up 9:6, after Gorjan Markovski made a basket with 5.27 on the clock. However Timisoara got back in the game in the next minutes, as they tied the score at 9:9 and at 11:11. After that they allowed only 2 points in their own basket as they scored 7, finishing the first quarter with a 5-point lead - 13:18.
 
Torus started the second quarter really strong, as Jovan Markovski made a three-pointer (16:18), Justin Reynolds added a basket to tie the score (18:18) and Pero Blazevski and Jovan Markovski added consecutive three-point shots to extend the team′s run to 11-0 and turn things around, leading 24:18 with 6.27 to go. Sime Spralja and Jovan Markovski scored one three-pointer each, as the score remained six points more for Torus - 27:21, as Timisoara took a time-out with 5.41 left in the half. After the time-out Timisoara managed to get back in the game, as they tied the scorer at 30:30, and after that Branko Cuic gave his team a 30:33 lead with 2.14 left. Halfway through the game Timisoara were up by 3 - 32:35.
 
Torus tied the score quickly after the break, as Bojan Krstevski converted an and-one play for 35:35, but Timisoara quickly got their lead back, scoring four straight points for 35:39. Halfway through the third period, Timisoara were still ahead, this time by three - 39:42. Ivica Dimcevski made a three for 42:42, but Timisoara once again made a run of four to nothing, getting a 42:46 lead, before Torus responded with a run of their own for 46:46 with 3.03 left in the third. However until the end of the period the home team scored just two points (a basket by Bojan Krstevski) against seven for Timisoara, and after 30 minutes the visitors were ahead by 5 - 48:53.
 
BC Timisoara remained with the lead in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter, despite the tries from Torus to make a comeback. The visitors held a comfortable lead, as only one time the home team managed to get close (51:53). The Romanian side extended their lead to 7 - 52:59 with 6.50 after a three by Nenad Markovic. Timisoara got their first double-digit lead of the night with 4.41 to go, as they led the game 54:64. Torus managed to cut the deficit back to 7 points - 57:64, but until the end Timisoara held their lead, and celebrated a 63:73 win.
 
Sime Spralja led Timisoara with 21 points in the winning effort. Dominique Archie added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals, while Ivan Siriscevic finished with 14 points in 20 minutes of play. Robert Sarovic marked his return after being injured for a long time with 2 points.
 
Jovan Markovski had 11 for Torus, while Justin Reynolds added 10, as they were the only players to score in double digits.
 
After this win Timisoara has a balance of 4 wins and 5 losses and occupies the fourth spot, while Torus are fifth with 2 wins and 7 losses. The Romanian side still has chances of advancing to the quarterfinals, but this goes through a win at home against KK Mornar Bar and a loss for Rilski Sportist against OKK Beograd.
