Domestic leagues: Akademik lost the third semifinal game

BC Akademik Bultex 99 is just one defeat away from being eliminated in the semifinal series of Bulgarian league. In game 3 the Plovdiv side lost to Balkan 74-97 away.

The hosts started well and led from the start and after finishing good the first half they went up by 13 points. Akademik played superb just after the break and soon was down by just 4 points. That however was the last good thing the visitors did. Balkan responded to restore its double digit lead and had no trouble after that.

Vasil Bachev had 17 points for Akademik as Nikola Maravic added 12 and 12 rebounds.
