Domestic leagues: Akademik lost the semifinal series

BC Akademik Bultex 99 lost the semifinal series in Bulgarian league. The Plovdiv team was defeated 91-102 away to Balkan and lost the series 1-3. 

Balkan controlled the game from start to finish and the win was never in doubt. The hosts started off hot and scored the first 7 points. Akademik came closer but in the middle of the second period the difference reached 18 points. At the break it was 10 but then again Balkan increased it and finished off the game well.

Dimitar Dimitrov had a monster game for Akademik ending up with 37 points and 8 rebounds. Vasil Bachev had 21 points as Nikola Maravic finished with 16.
