Nebojsa Vidic: I expected us to play better

BC Balkan won its third game in a row in group A of Delasport Balkan League after beating KK Navico Akademija FMP at home. Here are the words of head coach Nebojsa Vidic following the win:

"I wasn't expecting an easy game and I expected us to play better. We are on the same level with something when we don't play well. We are not improving on our mistakes. Today we had 22 turnovers and they scored 24 points off of them which is absurd. It was one more game in which we couldn't control that. This is what we have to work on. This is also the reason that we didn't have a lead of more than 14 points. They are a team that runs a lot and if you make so many mistakes, you can't have an easy game. I'm looking at those matches as an opportunity to improve our performance. We have the highest ambitions in both leagues we are taking part in. This win gives a good possibility to advance to Stage 2 and to keep chasing what we are aiming for - a place in the Final 4."

Travin Thibodeaux had a solid game for Balkan and also had his say on the game:

"I think it was a good game. We just needed to play a bit harder on defense. In general I'm happy that we won. We had to be more focused, to play better defense and to be on the same level. We need to work on that and on the chemistry in the team which is important. When we play hard on defense it will be very difficult for every team to beat us."
